Tennis at CPHS is alive and well! 15 players made their way to Conlon Farm Recreation Center in Perth to play down in the Lanark County Championships over the past 8 days. The Senior Tournament, played on Thursday May 9th, and the Junior Tournament, played on Tuesday May 14th, saw teams from Smiths Falls, Perth, St.Johns, Almonte, and Carleton Place come together in poor conditions to try to earn the right to move on to EOSSAA in Kingston next week. Overall winners from CPHS included Akari Kishida in the Senior Girls Singles division and Jesse Osborne in the Junior Boys Singles Division. Other notables include Paislee Puckett and Blake Callan who came second in the Junior Girls Doubles division. Mr. Strachan is very pleased with how many students who are new to the sport of Tennis came out to participate. Once the weather gets warmer, why not pick up a racquet and head to the courts?!
