OSSLT Literacy Test is tomorrow,Wednesday, March 27th!

What students should expect on test day.

  • Students are encouraged to take their time, read through the questions carefully and answer to the best of their ability. Do not leave questions blank.

Where will the students write the test?

  • The test will be written in classrooms on the second floor.
  • Class lists have been posted in the main foyer of the school, the cafetorium and on each classroom door.

What time is the test?

  • Students will report to their assigned class for 8am.  Teachers will read the test instructions to the class.
  • The test starts at 8:15am.
  • The first 15 minute break will be at 9:30am and students can proceed to the cafetorium where snacks and drinks will be provided.  They can also use this time to check their phones if they like.
  • Anyone who writes beyond that time will be offered a break at 15 minute intervals.

The OSSLT is a Provincial exam and a graduation requirement.

  • Students are expected to behave respectfully during the exam, working quietly and not distracting others.
  • Cell phones are not allowed during the test. Students are encouraged to leave them in their locker or they can leave them at the front of the class if they prefer.

Try and get a good night sleep tonight and remember to eat breakfast tomorrow morning so you’ll be at your best to demonstrate your literacy skills!
