Intermediate French Club to Host ‘Café Français’, Wed. June 8th, 6:00-8:30pm

May 25, 2016 No Comments

The students of Carleton Place High School’s French as a Second Language Club would like to cordially invite you to their Café Français, which is being held on Wednesday June 8th, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The Café is an opportunity for students to showcase their love and passion for the French language and culture. So, let our enthusiastic French-speaking students take you on a journey into the French culture. They will delight you with good food, French music, and great company!

Your child and you will take part in a real life French speaking experience and will be able to develop a greater appreciation for this beautiful language. Upon your arrival that evening you will receive a passport and you will travel through several French speaking countries, such as, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Ivory Coast, Madagascar  and Canada (Québec), led by the grade 7-8 French Club members.

As you proceed through each station you will learn about francophone culture and experience a little bit of culture from that country. Passports will be stamped, as students and parents move onto the next destination! Our final destination will be Paris, France where you will paint an “Eiffel Tower” painting on a canvas and you will be able to bring it home!

In order for us to be able to order the appropriate amount of materials, food and drinks for all individuals attending this event we would request that you and your child reserve a place for the event.  Please complete the form below to confirm your participation.
