Important Letter to Parents

Dear CPHS Families,

I hope that you enjoyed a great weekend. I am writing to inform you that I will become the Acting Principal of Drummond Central School beginning on Tuesday May 21st til the end of the school year.  Don Hickey, grade 7/8 teacher has accepted the role of Acting Vice Principal at CPHS. Mr. Hickey has supported intermediate students in a number of roles at CPHS and brings an excellent understanding of our special education program as well as strong connections with students, staff and families.

Your children are our highest priority. I will be in contact with Mr. Hickey throughout this transition and he will continue to be directly supported by our Vice Principal, Rob Bradley and CPHS Principal, Shelley Riddell. We will work closely together to continue to ensure the integrity of the academic program as well as a safe and exciting end to another school year here at CPHS.

I will dearly miss working with our students, staff and community but take comfort in knowing that your children work with a remarkable team of very caring educators. I know that CPHS is all about helping students succeed because I see it everyday.  CPHS is a very special place and it is part of a very special town. Thank you for all of your support, encouragement and for welcoming me into your community. We are always better, together. Go Bears!

Dan McRae
