Just catching up the action from the East Region Track and Field Meet this past Thursday and Friday in Kingston

  • Our kids performed beautifully and 10 athletes are moving on to OFSAA this week at York University.
  • Leading the way, as she has done all season, was Lilly Jackson who finished 3rd in the Long Jump, 3rd in the 80m Hurdles, and anchored the 2nd place finish in the relay.  She was joined by Mollie Grabe, Hailey Craft and Skyla Campbell.  Teagan Ferrill is also a member of this superb team.
  • Kyle Dolliver ran a major PB to win the Midget Boys 80m Hurdle race!!
  • Three Pole Vaulters, under the tutelage of Steve King, also qualified. Cashmen Ford went over 3.85 to secure 2nd in Senior. Owen Perks finished 4th in Junior, and Maverick Pretty finished 4th in Midget. Coach King has also been coaching an Arnprior athlete, Bailey Stoneham, and she picked up a 2nd in the Midget Girls event!
  • Rounding out our qualifiers was Spencer Lewis who finished 3rd in the Shot Put.

We wish all of these athletes the best of luck as they travel to Toronto this Thursday to represent the Garnet and Gold.
