CPHS Cross Country Midget Girls Team Competes at All Ontario Championship

The CPHS Midget Girls Cross Country team, comprised of Norah Massey, Lydia Georgison, Rachel Schooley, Ava Massey, and Skylar Etherington got up bright and early to hit the road to OFSAA – the All Ontario Provincial Cross Country Championship in Petawawa, this past Saturday.

A cold morning saw the girls line up against 257 other grade 9 girls from around the province to run the hilly 4km course. All 5 CPHS runners bested their previous course times and worked together to come in 23rd as a team overall.

A great day and an awesome start to what could be a 4 year OFSAA run. Thank you to all the parents for their support this past Saturday…great to see everyone out to support the Garnet & Gold!

Mr. Strachan is proud of all this year’s Cross Country runners. I hope to see even more runners in all grades come out next fall. It’s never too late to start.

Pain is temporary, pride is forever!
